Ok so you might think Ive lost the plot - maybe I have But here is a background I created using Herbs to create a texture. I chose Herbs De Provence because they are very gritty and not chopped so finely as other types of herbs.

All Ive done so far is spread glue using a credit card over the surface of a sheet of white card stock then I poured over the herbs and left to dry overnight.

I painted the herbs! I used acrylic paints in shades of greens and yellows and I must say I love the effect of this background as it reminds me of GRASS! Look:
